This pen comes with one blue ink cartridge. The cartridge comes inside the barrel of the pen. If the cartridge seems to be stuck inside the barrel, try gently tapping the barrel against a hard surface a few times to dislodge it.
Note: The metal body of this pen can be corroded by prolonged contact with ink. Be sure to clean off any ink that gets onto its surface, and do not use it as an eyedropper pen.

It features a sleek, transparent barrel and a hexagonal screw-on cap that can be posted securely on the back of the pen. The piston filling mechanism is easily operated by twisting the knob at the end of the barrel counter-clockwise to extend the piston, submerging the nib in ink, then screwing the knob tight to retract the piston, drawing ink into the pen straight from the bottle—no need for cartridges or a converter! Be careful, operating the piston while ink is in the pen will cause ink to leak out of the pen.
In keeping with their philosophy of promoting the traditional experience of using a fountain pen, TWSBI has designed this pen to be completely self-serviceable. It comes with a wrench and a vial of silicone grease you can use for at-home maintenance.

This pen may come with ink residue in the nib from being dip tested by TWSBI at the factory. As with all new fountain pens, we recommend giving your TWSBI a good cleaning before you use it.

A wonderfully beautiful spectacle of nature can be observed during spring nights at certain places all over the world. One of these places is in Japan. At the coast of the district Toyama – the namesake for this new and unique Collection variant – the water is illuminated by a mysterious blue sheen during that time.
The rare and spectacular phenomenon is called bioluminescence and is caused by light-emitting creatures. Especially in Toyama, it is created by the gathering of a certain species of squid. Those thousands upon thousands of points of light, performing a captivating spectacle upon the water surface, are mirrored by the high-quality plastic of this fountain pen. Depending on the particular light irradiation, the pearly green pigments sparkle more or less intensively. The overall design is completed by a combination with silver elements.

In 1911 something remarkable by the name of Kaweco Sport was created. The pocket-sized fountain pen only measures 10.5 cm when closed. Therefore, you can easily take it anywhere. With the cap attached, it extends to an average size of 13 cm.
You can choose between five nib sizes, ranging from extra fine (EF) to extra broad (BB). If you’re not sure which size you want or need, we recommend the nib size M. All nibs and the entire fountain pen are made in Germany. It contains a Royal Blue ink cartridge as standard.
