Tasmania is home to some of the deepest and longest cave systems in the world. When brightly lit, this huge complex of dolomite caves at the southern most tip of Tasmania shines a golden brown and glistens with its countless delicate stalactites. Hastings is also home to a natural hot spring that warms the nearby rivers year-round to 280C. We were inspired by the golden brown and honey tones this natural wonder possesses and wanted to illustrate its beautiful lustre. This ink shades from faintest yellow to dark amber, with greenish edging sheens and light silver shimmer.

The Devil’s kitchen, where The Great Southern Ocean smashes into scattered inlets lining the Eagle Hawk Neck cliff face on the eastern side of the Tasman Peninsular, creating a violent churn and the rich vibrantly cool teal which inspires this colour. Tasmania’s wilderness of this caliber is breath taking.

This color was inspired by the exotic and enticing Black tongue spider orchid (Caladenia caudata). Tasmania’s orchids are some of the most beautiful in the world this species is found only in Tasmania. The Black Tongue Spider Orchid, with a gorgeous shade from black to deep magenta, is under conservation and listed as vulnerable due to agricultural expansion and disturbance in burning in certain regions.

This ink is based on the colour of the tallest flowering trees in the world. With a mottled kakhi green tone, the magnificant Tasmanian Mountain Ash, or Eucalyptus Regnans, grows up to lengths of 100 meters. Growing in such places as the "Valley of the Giants", these iconic Tasmanian Eucalyptus trees have a lustre and beauty within their own right and are a lost wilderness themselves.

The color was inspired by the stunningly beautiful Tasmanian Azure King Fisher, whose plumage is a remarkably entrancing blue with a unique deep red sheen, while his breast has golden fiery orange tones. This complex and multifaceted ink was built to replicate all the beauty in the kingfisher’s coat, with shades from light aqua, to teal green and dark royal blue, and a golden shimmer that plays with the light to create greenish tones, all bordered by a vibrant red sheen. This ink is decadent, eye-catching and a true delight to write with.

This ink is still one of our classics we simply jazzed this ink with a beautiful shimmer and its chromatography can now easily be seen, making this ink a great shading ink. The purple has been toned down making it more pastel in appearance.

Red lightning is one of our most vibrant reds to date. This color resembles the electric discharge which can appear as a vivid red lightning. This type of occurrence can also be called sprites. This ink is a very wet writing ink with shimmer. It is a shading ink with no sheen at all.

Night owl is based upon an owl eyes through the trees at night. This exquisite orange is highly saturated with a gold sheen on good quality fountain pen paper. This ink is fairly wet writing and very well behaved in almost any fountain pen.

This color is based on the delicate Moon Flower that only blooms at night. Bats and other nocturnal creatures eat its nectar. A "beautiful blue" is the best way to describe Moon Flower, a combination ink of too high quality dyes, mixed to a perfectly balanced saturation; not too light so as to appear washed out; not so heavy as to be overshadowed by sheen; just enough to be rich and to stand out by its own right. The hue of Moon Flower sits on the warmer side of blue, with light violet variations in heavier writing and ample shading in all pen and ink combinations.

Midnight is Van Dieman's "Blackest Blue". This highly saturated ink is blacker than both Hanging Lake and Pepperberry, but bluer than both Devil Black and Abyss. With minimal shading and a faint hint of a black-red sheen in just the right conditions, Midnight is a smooth-flowing ink, dark as darkest night and perfect for the everyday writer.

Golden Orb Web is a light sun yellow ink with gold solar shimmer. This ink resembles the incredible web of the Golden Orb Spider. Golden orb webs are massive to behold, with a shimmering yellow colour. The silken fibers of these webs are so soft, yet so strong, that they are the only spider thread ever used to make textiles for humans. A single garment was made, stronger than Kevlar, yet softer than silk, from over a million collections of thread from Golden Orb weaving spiders. And not a single spider was hurt in its making. This ink shades incredibly well from the faintest yellow to almost orange, and has a high quality golden shimmer not previously used in ink, that creates a perfectly even distribution of shimmer throughout, while also holding well to the page.
