Enchanted Woods is back by popular demand. Originally in our popular Midnight Series, from 2018, Enchanted woods is a single release of 2022 from Van Dieman's Ink in the Night Collection.
Enchanted woods is a dark and verdant green, with an earthy red sheen, illuminated by a silvery shimmer, suggestive of moonlight scattering on autumnal frost on the Tasmanian rainforest floor.

Dawn is inspired and highly representational of the last lingering moments of night, just before the sun bursts triumphantly over the horizon, when refracted and reflected light bounce and dance blindingly on the clouds and sky. Dawn is a supersaturated ink with a bright, hot pink undertone, almost overpowered by a golden sheen that mottles and blends with the pink underneath to create an array of orange hues, much like the sky at dawn.

Cherry Blossom Dream is a soft shading pastel pink that inspired by a cool spring nighttime breeze, gently shaking loose the blossoms from a cherry tree, from within the deep sleep of a dream. Cherry Blossom Dream is one of Van Dieman's extremely low saturation inks, producing some amazing shading. This extraordinarily light pink shades from almost nothing to a blushing, but still light tone. Cherry Blossom Dream also has a fairly low surface tension, which allows it to flow moderately wetly, despite its low saturation.

Bonfire Night was originally a hugely popular ink in Van Dieman's now discontinued Midnight Series. It has now been reformulated with a whole new feel. Both the original and the reformulation are fiery red-orange inks with a gold shimmer, but this one differs in having a higher saturation of dye, a higher quality gold shimmer that produces a more attractive effect, and a golden sheen that works alongside the shimmer to produce a truly fiery ink.

A reformulation of our original "Blackened Seas" from the now discontinued Midnight Series. This ink has all the same tone and hue of the original, but is now higher in saturation and contains a heavy red sheen on top of the very dark blue-black teal.

Aurora Australis is a spectacularly vibrant ink that replicates the dancing green and purple ominous glows that swirl in the sky when the southern hemisphere is lit up by the highly charged particles fired at us from the sun during a Coronal Mass Ejection. The combination of pink-purple, dark magenta-black, and bright green are a result of the high saturation of two dyes that combine to create these effects in the ink. The true colour of the ink is the light pinky tone, but this is accompanied by the darker tone in heavy writing, and the bright green sheen on good quality fountain pen friendly paper.
