These inks are SHIKIORI , Sound of rain series. Inks that captures the feeling of the four seasons, the nature of Japan.
The inks are named after onomatopoeic words associated with rain. The Sounds of Rain inks are inspired by the different sounds that rain makes as it falls.
Four Colors: Shitoshito is inspired by the gentle spring rains in muted shade of aqua green. Zaza is inspired by the sound of rushing water after summer storms in muted shade of blue that leans toward turquoise. Harahara represents the drizzle sounds of rain in autumn in muted shade of mauve. Potsupotsu represents the cold ‘pitter-patter’ of a brisk winter rain in the icy lilac color.
